Peer Educators - Monthly
Peer Education meetings are held on the 2nd Friday of the
month from 4-6pm at Westside Community Center in the Sunset
Room. All high school S&S members who are
interested in taking on more leadership responsibility and
working with younger children are encouraged to become S&S
Peer Educators. As Peer Educators, these youth work directly
with middle school and elementary school S&S club members,
conducting lessons on the monthly awareness topics, building
relationships, modeling respect, and helping facilitate outreach
events. All Peer Eds undergo 40 hours of intensive training,
including monthly 2-hour “2nd Friday” trainings throughout
the school year and a 2-day summer retreat in June. Additionally,
all Peer Eds from all schools gather in July for a one-day
summer curriculum development meeting to update and improve
the middle school lesson plans. For more information, download
the Peer
Ed Application or contact info@peersolutions.org
or 602.225.0942.
